'How to Get Away with Murder': Can the Keating Five actually get away with it?

The Keating Five have done everything in their power to get away with murder. Throughout the first half of How to Get Away with Murder’s freshman season, those involved in Sam’s (Tom Verica) death removed, eventually burned and disposed of the body, and even left the murder weapon in plain sight. Now comes the tricky part: Keeping their stories straight.

When Murder returns on Thursday night, Sam is presumed missing, forcing the students to face the police just hours after covering up his murder. Can the five of them—culprit Wes (Alfred Enoch), alleged killer Rebecca (Katie Findlay), high-strung Michaela (Aja Naomi King), quiet Laurel (Karla Souza), and weak link Connor (Jack Falahee)—trust one another?

'Scandal' boss: Everyone is 'extraordinarily affected' by Olivia's disappearance

For the second time in a year, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has gone missing. Unfortunately, she’s not off sipping du Bellay on a deserted island this time around. In the closing moments of Scandal‘s winter finale, Olivia was kidnapped, likely by someone working for Vice President Andrew Nichols (Jon Tenney), who threatened POTUS (Tony Goldwyn) to go to war.

“There’s a lot at stake,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes tells EW. “I love the fact that Andrew says to the president at the end of that episode, ‘What is the one thing that you would do anything to get back? What is the one thing you can’t live without?’ The idea that she is the one thing, that’s going to be a big issue. We’re talking about war. It brings on a lot of complications for Fitz and a lot of complications for Jake [Scott Foley] as well. But not just for them, pretty much for everybody. Everybody is extraordinarily affected by this situation, even David Rosen [Josh Malina].”

'Party Down South' season 3 exclusive clip: Meet Hannah, the new hell-raiser

Last year, the party was in Athens, Georgia. This year, it’s moving farther down south to Biloxi, Mississippi. On Feb. 26 at 9 p.m., CMT’s outrageous, say-a-prayer-for-the-youth-of-today reality show Party Down South returns with a third season of exploits featuring Daddy, Lyle, Murray, Walt, Lauren, Mattie and Tiffany.

The crew may be down a Lil Bit, who quit the show last summer, but they have gained a new out-of-control partier-in-crime: Hannah “Hott Dogg” Guidry. A friend of Mattie, Hannah is a 28-year-old hairstylist from New Orleans whose favorite foods include turtle, crawfish, squirrel, and deer. We’re told that not only does she enjoy a good beer bong, she “regularly gets blacked out drunk on the weekends and thinks that she probably has a lot of crazy stories but can’t remember them.” READ FULL STORY

'Agent Carter' ratings drop again: Does this hurt female Marvel heroes?

agent-carter.jpg

Agent Carter ratings are still slipping: Tuesday night’s episode dropped to 4.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating, down 13 percent from its last original episode two weeks ago. The CW’s The Flash (4 million, 1.3) is right on the heels of its Marvel rival, tying the ABC series in the adult demo.

There’s still a lingering perception among some in Hollywood that female-centered comic-book titles are fandom kryptonite. Marvel, despite its regular drip-drip-drip release of films, hasn’t made a female-protagonist movie title since 2004’s Electra and doesn’t have any on its slate until 2018 (Captain Marvel). Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said he’s very much in favor of making a female title, but that the issue comes down to “timing.” READ FULL STORY

'Game of Thrones' creators react to seeing their show in IMAX for first time -- exclusive

The showrunners of HBO’s Game of Thrones are rather impressed by the IMAX conversion of their hit series. Executive producers David Benioff and Dan Weiss went on camera to praise the result of the theater company’s conversion process after seeing their labor of love on the super-sized screen for the first time last week.

“I’m still kind of in shock,” Weiss said in the above exclusive clip after watching a private preview screening. “It’s a completely different viewing experience, one that’s so immersive and so superior.”

IMAX put two Thrones episodes through its proprietary DMR conversion process for a special screening event that begins Thursday night. Technicians extracted an unprecedented degree of visual and audio detail from the show’s original source material. As Benioff and Weiss point out below, by the time each Thrones episode is complete, they’ve labored over every detail for a year and seen each episode hundreds of times—so it’s not easy to show them any element that they haven’t seen many times before.
