Because there’s no such thing as too much tube prattle, I hereby present you with a second edition of Casting Scoops. Headliners this time around include a onetime Laguna Beach vixen, the husband of an ex-Friend, and the artist formerly known as Jake Hanson.
• CSI: NY has collared LC’s arch nemesis Kristin Cavallari for a major guest turn. The aspiring actress will play an up-and-coming handbag designer who presumably finds herself involved in a criminal investigation in an early ’09 episode.
• Grant Show’s one-off stint as Kate Walsh’s bro on Private Practice has grown into a two-episode arc, an ABC spokesperson confirms. His first eppy airs Nov. 26. Similarly…
• …Pushing Daisies has extended David Arquette’s forthcoming stint as "freshcort" Randy Mann. Arquette, who debuts in next Wednesday’s episode, will return later this season "to have a nice little romance with Kristin Chenoweth," reveals series creator Bryan Fuller. (BTW, a big shout-out to the half million of you who jumped on the Daises bandwagon last night. Much appreciated!)
• Expect some disorder in the court when Matt’s (Sam Jaeger) ex-girlfriend shows up on Eli Stone as — get this — the judge trying his latest case. The role is currently being cast.
